Challenges Of Selling A Small Business Today In Arizona & Beyond

Found a good and very relevant article in the NY Times small business section about the challenges of selling a small business today. Not surprisingly one of the major challenges confronting  buyers across the USA and Arizona is still the tight credit market and lack of small business financing. The article also talks about how many sellers now have to come to grips with the fact  that their business may not be worth (or sell at the same high multiples) what it was back in boom years.

On another note regarding timing the article also notes that the capital gains rate is more than like going to rise from 15% to 20% in the next year or so and that selling now could obviously have some tax advantages.
